Stephens Auditoriums's Martha-Ellen Tye Performing Arts Institute is proud to once again offer OnStage! as an opportunity for high school juniors and seniors to explore and learn more about the world of performing arts. Requirements for the program are: Write an application essay explaining why you want to take part and what you expect to gain from the program Attend all 6 selected performances* Write a brief essay sharing your impressions following each performance Submit an 'end-of-season' essay telling what you have gained from your experience To introduce a representative variety of the performing arts, the following shows have been selected: VARIETY: Artrageous, Saturday, November 9 at 7:00 pm BROADWAY: Dear Evan Hansen, Thursday, December 5 at 7:30 pm ORCHESTRA: Czech National Philharmonic, Saturday, February 15 at 7:30 pm WORLD: Yamato Drummers of Japan, Friday, February 28 at 7:00 pm VOCAL: Shamrock Tenors, Tuesday, March 25 at 7:00 pm DANCE: Romeo and Juliet (DSM Ballet), Saturday, April 26 at 7:00 pm You will be given background information and a ticket before each performance. Following each performance, there will be a short reception with an artist from the production or a local expert to discuss the show.
